Obamacare’s Too Expensive For Ya? Cancel Your Cable, Peasant!

Jim Treacher
Daily Caller
March 12, 2014
Once again, America, you’ve really let King Barry down.
On March 6, 2014, President Obama conducted a town hall meeting with Spanish-language media regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare. He was asked about the concerns of many Latinos that the law is simply too expensive. He suggested that some families may be spending too much on cable television or cell phones, and not enough on health insurance.
“I don’t know his particular circumstance..” Since when has that ever stopped you, genius?
Clearly, this guy acted stupidly. He’s actually making choices for himself and his family. Um, this is America, pal!

Obamacare Architect: You Can Keep Your Doctor – As Long As You’re Willing to Pay More

Infowars.com
December 8, 2013
Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a bioethicist and architect of Obamacare, told Fox News anchor Chris Wallace that if you like your doctor and want to keep your doctor, you’ll just have to pay more for it.

“It’s a simple yes or no question,” Wallace said. “Did he [Obama] say if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?”
“Yes,” Emanuel responded. “But look, if you want to pay more for an insurance company that covers your doctor, you can do that.”

Dr. Emanuel is the brother of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who was Obama’s former chief of staff.

House Democrat On Obamacare “I Don’t Know How Obama F***ed This Up So Badly”

For five years, congressional Democrats have sprung to his defense when Obama's been in trouble. Now though, amid the dismal reality of Obamacare, Politico reports a familiar refrain from Democratic sources: Obama's "if-you-like-it-you-can-keep-it" promise on insurance policies is his "Read my lips, no new taxes" moment — a reference to the broken promise that came to damage President George H.W. Bush’s credibility with his fellow Republicans. His one-time allies are no longer sure that it's wise to follow him into battle, leaving Obama and his law not only vulnerable to existing critics, but open to new attacks from his own party. Democratic sources say, Obama can expect that lawmakers will be quicker to criticize him — and distance themselves from his policies.

[Instead of his "fix" and talking points for Obamacare], the White House chief of staff might have been better off revealing a U.S. map with the president’s plan for saving congressional Democrats’ seats — or just apologizing for letting so many Democrats walk out in public and repeat wildly inaccurate White House claims about the health of the enrollment website and Americans’ ability to keep their insurance plans if they liked them.

...

President Barack Obama’s credibility may have taken a big hit with voters, but he’s also in serious danger of permanently losing the trust of Democrats in Congress.

...

“I don’t know how he f—-ed this up so badly,” said one House Democrat who has been very supportive of Obama in the past.

The first test of unity: how many Democrats vote for a bill Friday penned by Michigan Republican Rep. Fred Upton. The legislation would allow people to keep their canceled insurance plans through 2014.

...

Congressional Democrats are on the line in 2014. Many of them voted for Obamacare, defended it in 2010 and will have to stand in front of voters next year and explain the problems.

...

Even some Democrats who have been big supporters of the Affordable Care Act told McDonough that Obama’s plan for an administration fix to address health plan cancellations isn’t enough for them. They need a bill to get behind. Translation: In addition to skepticism about the policy, it’s not good politics for them to just fall in line behind Obama on the fix.

...

Democrats who are leaning toward voting for a GOP bill, due on the House floor Friday, that would address the cancellation issue in much broader fashion than Obama would like.

“We don’t have a policy problem,” Pelosi told her Democrats in the private meeting, a defense of the law written by Congress. “We have a website problem.”

...

No one expects Obama to lose the majority of Democrats on the GOP bill Friday, but even a few dozen defections would be a telling indication that lawmakers are no longer as worried about hurting him as they once were.

...

Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), who passionately defended the law in the closed-door meeting Thursday, acknowledged in an interview that the White House was probably a “little too overconfident and the rhetoric, perhaps, got a little hyperbolic in terms of how perfect this is.” But he also acknowledged it is more difficult for House Democrats to sign onto the White House’s promises right now, particularly the assurances that the website will be fixed by the end of the month.

“We’re not going to all get behind a Nov. 30 date, which is probably not going to be realized...

POLL: 78% OF UNINSURED NOT INTERESTED IN OBAMACARE

new Gallup poll brings more terrible news for President Obama and his signature health plan, showing that only 22% of uninsured Americans intend to buy insurance through the ObamaCare exchanges.

One of the major selling points for using ObamaCare to disrupt our health care system (that polls showed up to 80% of Americans were satisfied with) was to insure the uninsured. But according to this poll, only a very small minority of that small minority is even interested in obtaining insurance.
Even more troubling is the realization that a month ago, that number was double; a full 44% of the uninsured said they would purchase insurance though the exchanges.
Over the course of a month, however, the reality of ObamaCare scared off half of that 44%. The high cost of premiums, the high deductibles customers have to pay regardless of any tax subsidy, and the unforgivable bungling of the rollout only discouraged those who we blew up a perfectly good health care system to help.
The worse news is that you can bet that the 22% who do intend to sign up are made up of the oldest and sickest among the uninsured. Meanwhile, the 78% who are uninterested in being insured are likely the youngest and healthiest.
This means a sicker and older pool of enrollees, which means higher premiums for a couple hundred million Americans who were perfectly satisfied with what they had--that is, before President Obama, Democrats, and the media decided what was best for us.
As of now, the poll shows only 18% of the uninsured have even tried to visit a marketplace website.
When you look at the nearly 4 million Americans who have already had their insurance cancelled, the low enrollment numbers we have seen so far, and combine that with the website problems, sticker shock, and overall disgust, it is not out inconceivable to speculate that by this time next year, ObamaCare will have caused the number of uninsured in America to increase.

FACTSHEET: Obamacare Will Kill You · How Obama Got The Mustache

The United States was suffering from a crisis in health care when President Barack Obama came into office. As a result of the deindustrialization of the U.S. economy, the privatization of health care into profit-making ventures, and deregulation, both the health care system and the health of the American population was rapidly deteriorating.
Obama's health care program, however, has made the situation much worse. If allowed to continue, it will turn the U.S. government into the enforcer of a worse-than-Hitler genocide machine.

Obama's "crowning achievement", the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare...

Lauded as making healthcare more affordable for everyone..

The reality has shown itself, that Obamacare is the least affordable health care plan possibly conceived...

It will result in the confiscation of houses, cars, personal property due to the stiff tax penalties for not having health care.

It will result in high unemployment, and the majority of Americans on part time work at most.

It will result in the majority of the nation being forced on food stamps, because their hours being cut back at work.

It was so poorly thought out, that even the website for it's grand opening has been called "A Hackers Wet Dream", and the website for it has been declared UNFIXABLE by industry experts.

Obamacare is a perfect reflection of Obama's presidency..

Poorly thought out, intended to drive America into Socialism, and illegal.

Congratulations President Obama.. Like father, like son.. Your baby, Obamacare is just like you!

Obamacare Key Advisor: “We’re At DEFCON Politically Problematic”

Delaware officials celebrate as FIRST person in state signs up

Steve Watson

Oct 16, 2013
While the White House has said that the president has “full confidence” in Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, despite the disastrous rollout, a key adviser to Obamacare has declared that the rollout is in complete crisis.
“I wish it were going a little bit better,” said Jonathan Gruber, an economics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the architect of Romneycare, which was the blueprint for Obamacare. “I think it harms the perception.”
“Right now we’re at “DEFCON politically problematic,” Gruber added.
The White House has refused to indicate when the federal exchanges will finally be functional. If the estimates of officials in Maryland are anything to go by, however, it is going to be at least two months.

The ObamaCare Marriage Tax

Apparently, the writers of the ObamaCare legislation don’t think a lot of marriage. It is utterly fascinating how liberal Democrats will push for gay marriage, and yet undertake tax policies that penalize those who are married. If ObamaCare is not repealed, there will be substantial incentives to get a divorce due to ObamaCare.
I’ll bet there will be a lot of ObamaCare divorces. A study by the Heritage Foundation shows that married couples are harshly penalized for being married. The older a married couple is, the more harshly they are penalized.
As the Heritage study was completed in 2010, but is timely given the current congressional debate on the issue. As their study shows, the anti-marriage penalties occur because of the way income is based on joint income.  If a two-earner couple is married, the bill counts their income jointly; since the joint income will be higher, a married couple’s health care subsidies would be lower.  If a couple cohabits rather than marrying, the bill counts each partner’s income separately.
The bottom line: under the bill, a cohabiting couple would receive substantially higher health care subsidies than a married couple even when the total incomes of both couples are identical.
The penalty is worse for older couples. Heritage notes:
For example, a 60-year-old couple, each earning $30,000 per year, would receive $10,425 per year less in benefits if they marry or remain married. Simply by divorcing and then living together, the couple can boost their post-tax, take-home income by nearly one-fourth.
Similarly, a 50-year-old couple, each earning $20,000 per year, would receive $5,114 less in benefits each year if they marry or remain married. By divorcing and then living together, the couple could increase its income by more than $50,000 over a decade.
A 60-year-old husband and wife, each with an income of $15,000, would pay over $4,000 per year if they remain married. Put in other terms, the government would offer an annual bonus of $4,212 if the couple divorces and then cohabits.
The tax tables on the ObamaCare subsidy are on the Heritage website. If ObamaCare is not repealed, divorce attorneys will find themselves in a booming industry.

Obamacare Supporters Sign Petition to Add Sterilants to Water Supply To Reduce Birthrates

“It’s part of the Georgia Guidestones population control program”
Infowars.com
Sept. 24, 2013
In the spirit of ringing in the new healthcare law, author and media analyst Mark Dice is showing how utterly indifferent and confused some American citizens are when it comes to understanding the complexities of forced sterilization.
Dice recently asked San Diego beach-goers to support a proposal by Obama’s science czar John Holdren, who wrote in his book Ecoscience about a “coercive” population control method involving adding sterilizing chemicals to the water supply.
“They wanna take away the free birth control from the college campuses,” Dice explains to one signatory that is already eagerly filling out the form.
“So what we’re gonna do is put some free sterilants in the water supply like a fluoridation, it’s a free sterilization – yeah, birthdate there please – and it’s a modern day kind of eugenics program that way everybody will get a free dose of birth control whether they like it or not.”
“It’s part of the Georgia Guidestones population control program. I appreciate your support,” he tells another signee.
In the past, Dice has managed to garner several signatures on a petition to release all illegal aliens from prisons, even if they are convicted rapists or murderers, and has also gotten signatures on petitions calling for repealing the Bill Of Rights, banning the First and Second Amendments, as well as throwing gun owners in prison, and enforcing mandatory euthanasia of elderly people.

PAUL: Obamacare ‘is still unconstitutional’ one year after Supreme Court approval

One year ago, the Supreme Court upheld a law that radically transforms our health care system in a way that continues to frighten and beleaguer most Americans.
Friday is the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. The 5-4 decision declared that the federal government could force Americans to buy health insurance — not just any insurance, but insurance covering procedures dictated by the federal government. Obamacare established a labyrinth of red tape and bureaucracy, colossal even by Washington standards, and most important — penalizes the uninsured through the individual mandate.
Writing the majority opinion, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. declared that the individual mandate could be considered a tax and that the power to tax was also the power to enforce the law. Dissenting Justices Antonin ScaliaAnthony M. KennedyClarence Thomas and Samuel Anthony Alito Jr. vehemently disagreed, writing in their dissent: “[W]e cannot rewrite the statute to be what it is not. [W]e have never — never — treated as a tax an exaction which faces up to the critical difference between a tax and a penalty, and explicitly denominates the exaction a ‘penalty.’”
I think that Obamacare is still unconstitutional. I still think that Justices ScaliaKennedyThomas and Alito got it right.
One year later, the federal health care law is even more concerning. In addition to potentially causing upward of 20 million Americans to lose their private health insurance policies, it could destroy an estimated 800,000 jobs.
The particular jobs that Obamacare creates are perhaps the most troubling.
Obamacare authorizes 16,000 more jobs at the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS also is given the authority to enforce and police compliance with Obamacare. The same agency that admittedly targeted groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names now is given the responsibility of making sure our individual health care plans fall under the guidelines and restrictions imposed by this administration.
In June, many considered Obamacare a nightmare. Surveying the ramifications of this law a year later, it looks even worse. Even Sen. Max Baucus, Montana Democrat, calls it a “huge train wreck.”
After the IRS scandal became public, President Obama declared his “outrage” and vowed that those responsible would be held “fully accountable.” Yet nothing has been done.
Instead, we are using taxpayer dollars to reward IRS agents with $70 million in bonuses. So the IRS gets millions in bonuses and thousands of new jobs. Meanwhile, they and the other Washington bureaucrats implementing Obamacare, along with the Supreme Court and the law’s namesake, are exempt from key parts of the Obamacare mandates.
Americans are not enthusiastic about the so-called Affordable Care Act, to say the least. Gallup reported this week: “Americans are more negative than positive about the health care law’s future impact on their family and on the U.S. in general. Forty-two percent say that in the long run, the law will make their family’s health care situation worse; 22 percent say it will make it better. And almost half believe the law will make the health care situation in the U.S. worse.”
A Fox News poll this week showed that “58 percent of voters favor repealing all or some of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement.”
Faith in Obamacare seems to correlate with the public’s increasing overall distrust in government. Americans have no reason to trust an administration that admittedly engaged in targeting individuals based on their personal beliefs and views. They also have good reason to fear what the government may do to wreck everyone’s health care.
It is more than a little worrisome that the IRS is charged with the enforcement of Obamacare. The IRS union gave more than $1 million to Democrats over the past two election cycles. Conservatives are justified in worrying about the IRS being in charge of their health care.
A year after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Obamacare, its full, disastrous impact still looms ahead.
