UK PM CAMERON UNDER FIRE FOR IBIZA BREAK...

Crisis? I’m off to Ibiza

Britain on terror alert, cops raid suspects, but PM jets out for hols

DAVID Cameron flew to Ibiza for a holiday yesterday — leaving Britain engulfed by the biggest terror crisis since 7/7.

The PM and his family caught a mid-morning flight to the Spanish isle after he told friends he was taking a break for “a few days” over the Bank Holiday.
He was pictured today at a restaurant in the sunshine with wife Samantha.
MPs are appalled that he has jetted off amid spiralling tensions following the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich, South East London, on Wednesday and the arrest of two suspected Islamic extremists.
There were more arrests yesterday as police raided houses across the capital.
Three men, aged 21, 24, and 28, were held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder — with two having to be stunned by Tasers before they surrendered in Charlton.
Anti-terror police were searching four further addresses in Greenwich. It was also revealed three people were arrested for making racially explosive comments on Facebook and Twitter.
And Abu Nusaybah, a friend of Woolwich suspect Michael Adebolajo, was last night being questioned on suspicion of terrorism offences following an interview with the BBC.
Meanwhile, there were angry scenes and arrests in Newcastle yesterday as thousands of members of the far-right anti-Islam group the English Defence League marched through the city.
Police held back anti-EDL protesters as they screamed: “Nazi scum, off our streets.”
And in Paris a French soldier was stabbed in the throat in what was feared to be a copycat of the savage attack on Lee.
Police described the Paris attacker as being “bearded, of North African origin and wearing a light coloured jihab” under a jacket.

Getaway ... PM David Cameron and wife Samantha in Ibiza in 2011
Mr Cameron has gone to Ibiza with wife Samantha and their children Nancy, Elwen and Florence.
He flew out 48 hours after chairing a meeting of Cobra, the Cabinet committee summoned during emergencies.
Labour MP Sarah Champion said Mr Cameron’s decision to take a break showed he was “utterly out of touch.”
She added: “While the country struggles to come to terms with the vile crime in Woolwich this week and investigations continue, he has swanned off to Ibiza.
“The public deserve better from their Prime Minister.”
Mr Cameron has told friends in the past his wife puts her foot down when it comes to family holidays.
A poll today reveals voters lack confidence in Mr Cameron’s handling of terrorism.
It shows 47 per cent believe he is ineffective while 41 give him their backing.
His rating is marginally worse than Tony Blair’s after the 7/7 attacks on London.
- TWO men arrested after allegedly threatening to blow up a Pakistani airliner as it headed for Manchester were still being questioned last night.
