Border Patrol, Ice Agents Cheer Trump Actions!

Border Patrol, Ice Agents Cheer Trump Actions!

President Trump's decision to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and stop the free flow of refugees until they can be vetted better is reviving the morale of customs and border agents, according to the union representing both.
"Morale amongst our agents and officers has increased exponentially," said a joint statement from the National Border Patrol Council and National ICE Council.
"The men and women of ICE and Border Patrol will work tirelessly to keep criminals, terrorists, and public safety threats out of this country, which remains the number one target in the world – and President Trump's actions now empower us to fulfill this life saving mission, and it will indeed save thousands of lives and billions of dollars," it added.

The statement on behalf of the agents for the immigration, customs and border protection was a powerful endorsement of Trump's action as he his under fire from critics of his actions.

President Trump signs executive order withdrawing US from TPP

President Trump signs executive order withdrawing US from TPP

Making good on a campaign promise, President Trump on Monday signed an executive order withdrawing the United States from the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.
He also signed two other orders -- one placing a hiring freeze on some federal workers and the other reinstating a ban on funding for international groups that perform abortions.
The TPP, a giant and semi-secret 12-member free-trade agreement advocated by the Obama administration, aimed to deepen economic ties between the U.S. and 11 other Pacific Rim nations, cut taxes and foster trade to boost economic growth in the process.
"We’ve been talking about this for a long time," Trump said, as he signed the document. He called the order to pull out of TPP a “great thing for the American worker.”

Trump Lashes Out at Hillary Clinton, Intelligence Officials in Tweets

WASHINGTON—President-elect Donald Trump fired off a wide-ranging series of Twitterposts Friday, attacking Hillary Clinton, the intelligence community and Republican campaign rivals.
He also praised the performance of his cabinet nominees during their confirmation hearings and wrote that the “The ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act will soon be history!”
Perhaps reflecting the gusto with which he was trying to drive home his messages Friday morning, he ended four of his seven Twitter posts with an exclamation mark.
Mr. Trump often starts the morning using Twitter to target a specific issue, but Friday, he weighed in on multiple topics.
His sharpest barbs appeared to focus on a recent announcement that the Justice Department’s Inspector General would open a review of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s handling of numerous matters during the election. It will look at, among other things, the decision by FBI Director James Comey to announce days before the November election that agents were reviewing new emails that could be connected to Mrs. Clinton.
